Hall of Fame LuncheonHall of Fame Luncheon
11:45am -1:15pm

Plan to attend this special luncheon to help award winners celebrate their accomplishments. The Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association and Pennsylvania Veterinary Foundation will honor the accomplishments of fellow colleagues, students, organizations, media, and even our animal heroes! FREE for all conference attendees, however, pre-registration is required.




Marketplace Happy HourMarketplace Happy Hour

4:30-6:00pm, Blue/White Rooms

Plan to attend our annual Marketplace Happy Hour to visit with the many vendors exhibiting at this year’s conference and show your appreciation for their commitment to the veterinary community and Keystone Veterinary Conference. Hors d’oeuvres and one complimentary drink will be provided to all attendees. This special complimentary event is open to all KVC attendees, guests, and family members.




ZooAmericaZooAmerica After Dark - Behind the Scenes

8:00-10:00pm, ZooAmerica

This 2 hour behind-the-scenes adventure is perfect for families with children ages 3 and older! Join ZooAmerica naturalists for a personal tour through the zoo, including an insider’s look at the Animal Health Center and a flashlight tour through the animal buildings. Feed the otters, touch a reptile, or hold a bird of prey. Plus, all participants will receive a flashlight, and items to complete your adventure through the Zoo! Cost is $75 per person and includes transportation to and from the zoo.

Silent auctionSilent Auction to Benefit the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (PVF)
Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12

On Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12, 2017, the Pennsylvania Veterinary Foundation (PVF), will be hosting a silent auction and raffle. Our goal is to raise $5,000 at this year’s Silent Auction and Raffle. Please provide an item for inclusion in our Summer Raffle in support of PVF and animals in need. Items such as gift baskets, wine baskets, baskets of cheer, vacation homes, art, pottery, jewelry, tickets to events, and gift cards are all great items to donate. Continuing in a well-established tradition, Dean Joan Hendricks, The Gilbert S. Kahn Dean of the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine, cordially invites conference attendees and their guests to attend a complimentary reception for UPENN alumni.

Tickets are just $30 per person thanks to the generous sponsorship of Petplan Pet Insurance (logo) and financial support of Pet Memorial Services (logo). Half of your ticket cost ($15) is a tax-deductible to the Pennsylvania Veterinary Foundation (PVF). Proceeds from this event will benefit the current initiatives of PVF. Light snacks and one drink (beer, wine or soda) are included with your ticket. A cash bar will be available for the duration of the event.

Christian Veterinary Mission Breakfast

Please join Christian Veterinary Mission for a special time of fellowship and hear an update on where God is at work through CVM. Speakers will be sharing on how veterinary medicine and missions can make a difference. There is no cost to attend, however, pre-registration is required.

Breakfast at the Zoo - Behind the Scenes

8:00-10:00am, ZooAmerica

Get a behind the scenes earlybird tour of ZooAmerica while the animals are waking up and getting ready to start the day! Join a zoo educator to get up close and personal look at select zoo species, enjoy an enrichment activity, help feed the animals, and more! Transportation and breakfast are included. This exclusive event is limited to the first 30 registrants. Cost is $75 per person.



PVMAPVMA Town Hall and Refreshment Break
3:00-4:00pm

The Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) will hold its Town Hall and Annual Business Meeting on Saturday during the afternoon break at 3:00pm in Cocoa Suite 1. Come and hear what is new and exciting with PVMA and have your questions answered. Refreshments will be served and you could win one of several great prizes just for attending! All conference attendees are encouraged to attend.

Interactive Case Study Lab for Veterinary Technicians

2 sessions will be offered (am and pm)Case Study

Critical Thinking is a skill necessary for veterinary technicians to practice with every patient. This interactive lab includes real patient case studies that will cover a variety of situations and disease processes. The attendees will work together as a large group and in small groups to discuss these cases and create a nursing plan, detail what to watch for, and learn how to plan ahead and participate as a member of the medical team. This special 3-hour case study lab will be offered in the morning and again in the afternoon at no additional cost. Attendees must pre-register for the morning or the afternoon session as space is limited.
